Synopsis:
Billy, a creepy student at Sullivan High, tells his psychologist (Dr. Sheppard) about Alexis- the girl of his dreams and incidentally the hottest girl in school. James, a fairly popular student, also has a crush on Alexis (as do most of the male population of the school). Noah, James' best friend, tries to talk James into asking Alexis out by stating how it's obvious Alexis likes him.
At a party, James is hitting it off with Alexis until a fight breaks out between Noah and a drunk. Meanwhile, Sheppard finds that at least part of Billy's problem might be his cocaine addicted mother. At the party, Noah sets James up with a "practice" girl. After the incident goes wrong, Alexis – drunk – passes out after attempting to perform oral sex on James. James takes both Alexis and Noah home.
Mr. DeLange, the chemistry teacher, offers to help Alexis when he lies about her doing poorly on a test. When she comes in for the tutoring session, though, DeLange merely smokes pot and hits on Alexis and shows her porn. During this time, we get a glimpse into Billy's demented psyche when we find that he's killed and crucified a stray cat.
James takes Alexis on a nice date, and the two end up consummating their new relationship.
DeLange makes Alexis come in for more "tutoring" and rapes her. Billy watches the rape from outside the classroom.
Alexis has a total emotional breakdown, but won't tell James what is wrong and demands that he not get the police involved. Billy also has a breakdown, but more of the mental sort as he informs Dr. Sheppard of all the demented thoughts that go through his head on a regular basis.
Billy, now having totally snapped, goes on a school shooting with the objective of "saving" Alexis from DeLange. As events unfold, James is narrowly able to intervene in Billy's psychotic plot, but not before Billy kills several of the story's main characters.
